Dr. Jaimy M. Dyer is a professor of exercise science and pre-allied health/pre-physical therapy. She regularly teaches courses such as "Introduction to Exercise Science," "Research Design and Statistics," "Health and Fitness Assessment Techniques and Practicum" and "Theory & Practice of Strength and Conditioning." Additionally, she serves as the program coordinator for the exercise science and pre-allied health majors and oversees the strength & conditioning emphasis program.

Dyer is an active member of the American College of Sports Medicine and serves as a site visitor for the accreditation of exercise science and physiology programs under the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and contributes as a site visitor for the accreditation of strength and conditioning programs under the Council on Accreditation of Strength and Conditioning Education.

Beyond her teaching and accreditation roles, Dyer is involved with students outside the classroom. She co-advises the Exercise is Medicine On Campus (EIM-OC) wellness ambassador group and is actively engaged in student research. She also serves as the Compliance Officer for the University Institutional Review Board, the BW Assessment Director, and the Accreditation Liaison Officer.
