Kristin Andlauer is an accomplished American horn player and the newly appointed Principal Horn of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with numerous professional ensembles, including The Cleveland Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Syracuse Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Reading Symphony Orchestra and the Allentown Symphony Orchestra.

Andlauer earned her bachelor’s degree in horn performance from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Peter Kurau, and completed her master’s degree at the Curtis Institute of Music under the guidance of Jeffrey Lang and Jennifer Montone.

She has participated in the Aspen Music Festival, the Music Academy of the West and the Round Top Festival Institute. She has also been a substitute musician with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and the New World Symphony.

In addition to her performance career, Andlauer is an enthusiastic educator dedicated to supporting young musicians. She has worked with numerous youth and community arts programs in the Greater Philadelphia and Toledo area, with a focus on expanding access to high-quality music education in under-resourced communities. Andlauer is a Conn performing artist and currently performs on an L series Conn 8D.
